How scepticism turned to complete financial freedom

We first looked at Forever Living Products in 1997. At the time I was a very successful senior manager in the telecoms industry and Jeff was running his own franchise.

For 13 months, a friend of Jeff's had been asking him to take a look at Forever, but he kept turning him down. He was too busy with his own business to consider anything else. But as the months went by and Jeff worked harder and harder for less and less money, he became more receptive to the idea.

So on a Wednesday in October 1997 he went to meet a couple in Exeter to check out the Forever business. He didn't really think it was for him, but he wanted to make a final decision based on the facts rather than his own preconceived ideas.

Two hours later he came home with a handful of scribbled papers and a belief that he had just seen the most amazing business that could change our lives. I was sceptical, to say the least, but in the end I agreed - after all, what did we have to lose?

So Jeff started his Forever business and I watched from the sidelines. When I saw how much fun he was having with it, we started working it together on a part-time basis. As it began to grow, so did our confidence. We also started to benefit personally from the products and began to feel much better. Soon there was no stopping us!

Just seven months after we first looked at the business, I took voluntary redundancy, which was a huge shock to my work colleagues. At the same time Jeff sold his business. We'd both come to the conclusion that our jobs gave us income but no lifestyle - and that Forever could deliver both, in spades.

We are now eleven years down the line.  We live in our beautiful eight bedroom detached house overlooking the beach and bay in Torquay.  The financial freedom we were told we would have if we worked this business happened years ago.  The most important things for us have been that the last eleven years have been our best.  We have quality time with each other, have laughed more, made more friends, "holidayed" around the world extensively, paid for by Forever and Jeff has been able to spend real quality time with his children and grand children, priceless.
